At the top of the Premier League, Manchester City and Arsenal are going blow for blow. The 37th day of the English football championship was no exception. The first shines in London (0-4 victory against Fulham on Saturday)? No matter: the second will seek a precious success in the big northern city, to maintain, a little longer, the dream of stealing the trophy from the Skyblues and offering themselves their first title in twenty years.

The Gunners therefore beat Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday May 12. A small victory, 0-1, thanks to a goal from Leandro Trossard, served by Kai Havertz who took advantage of a placement error by the Red Devils and Casemiro. Whatever. “We only had one thing to do today and that was to win. Maybe it wasn’t the most beautiful [victoire]but we stood together”, recognized the Belgian striker after the match. Mikel Arteta’s men have postponed the epilogue of a breathtaking season.

If they take back the reins of the Premier League with a point ahead of their rivals – and a better goal difference – the Londoners also know that their destiny is not entirely at the end of their feet. Manchester City has a match in hand, which they will play on Tuesday May 14 against Tottenham. A misstep would add even more spice to a final day of the championship which will already not lack flavor.

Sunday May 19, at 5 p.m., the Skyblues will host West Ham. Arsenal will host Everton.
