an agreement reached at the SNCF, up to 1,900 euros for railway workers – Libération

Unions and management agreed this Wednesday, May 22 on a text governing compensation for SNCF agents during the Paris Olympic Games. It still needs to be signed by the unions to be adopted.

The mobilization of May 21 at the SNCF apparently paid off. During a negotiation meeting where all of the company’s representative unions were present, management and employee representatives reached an agreement concerning social compensation for the Olympic Games, according to two union sources confirming to Libération.

Among other measures (anticipation of recruitment, establishment of local referents, compensation for childcare increased from 40 to 50 euros per day), the unions above all obtained a fixed compensation of 95 euros per day of service. Agents mobilized from July 24 to August 11, then from August 28 to September 8 will be eligible. Thus, an employee engaged over the period for a maximum of twenty days will benefit from compensation of 1,900 euros. This is more or less what the police and gendarmes have already obtained.

To be validated, this agreement must still be signed by more than half of the union representation. Representative employee organizations (CGT, Unsa, SUD and CFDT) have until June 4 to ratify it.
