Alejandro Garciabiker Abanca Maceda Postal Academyfinished eleventh in the European Olympic Championship (XCO), which he played in Romania with the Spanish team.

The junior Carballis turned out well and when he managed to place himself in the group fighting for the medals, he suffered a fall that caused mechanical problems on his bicycle. His comeback was epic, riding even at a better pace than the first, with a positive attitude that brings him once again closer to the world elite in his category.

Alejandro himself explained: On the longest climb of the circuit I managed to get into the lead and on the descent I entered the first three, opening a gap between ten and fifteen seconds, but I had a problem with a stone, the wheel came off me and I had a pretty bad fall.

His comeback was also highlighted by the national coach, Mikel Zabala: The attitude has been impeccable, he has played everything and was up for a medal. He has shaken off his frustration a bit and, even so, he sprints for the eleven in the final stretch.
