Boxers Lucky Osaro Aimufua and Arsen Chabyan missed the qualification for the Olympic Games in Paris. Aimufua lost to Cristian Javier Pinales from the Dominican Republic in the second round of the 80 kg class at the qualifying tournament in Thailand. Chabyan missed his fight with Obaidullah Yackobi from Afghanistan in the 63.5 kg category because he weighed half a kilo too much.
Austria’s last chance is Ahmed Hagag, who will face Dusan Veletic from Serbia (+92 kg) on Wednesday. He needs three wins to qualify for the Summer Games.
