World Judo, Hibiki Shiraishi advances to semi-finals

The Judo World Championships began on the 19th in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), with three classes for men and women taking place, with Tatsuki Nagayama (SBC Shonan Beauty Clinic), a candidate for the Paris Olympics, competing in the men’s 60kg class in the first round. He was defeated in the second round. After extra time, they were defeated by a Russian player who was participating as an individual neutral player (AIN). His classmate Taiki Nakamura (Kokushikan University) advanced to the quarterfinals.

In the women’s 48 kg class, Wakana Koga (JR East), who placed third last year, was defeated in the third round. In the 52kg class, Hibiki Shiraishi (Komatsu) advanced to the semifinals, while Izumi Omori (JR East) lost in the third round.
