Zebre Scrum-Half Ratko Jelic Extends Contract Until 2025

Zebre scrum-half Ratko Jelic has extended his contract with the club for another year. The 23-year-old has in fact extended his stay with the franchise until 30 June 2025, with the possibility of extending his experience with the yellow-blue shirt by another season.

Arriving at Zebre in the summer of 2022 after two positive seasons on an individual level in the top Italian league with Rugby Viadana, Ratko boasts 10 official appearances with the North West XV.
During his time with the franchise Jelic had the opportunity to wear the shirt of the Selezione Italiana XV and more recently that of Italy U23. Last January the young No. 9 received a call-up to a senior national team gathering in preparation for the Guinness Six Nations 2024, but without making his debut for Italy.
A serious, disciplined player with a great attention to detail, Ratko also represented Italseven at the Rugby Europe 7s Championship in Moscow in 2021.

The statements of Ratko Jelic: “Despite a season with little space, the desire to continue growing, the call-up to the senior national team, the continuous comparison with international players and the high standards deriving from participation in two absolutely important competitions such as the URC and the EPCR Challenge Cups represent a great boost that keeps my motivation high. I continue to fight with the aim of carving out more space for myself in the 23 of the race list.”
