Zacatecas Archery Academy Prepares for State Selective Despite Strong Winds

ZACATECAS. Despite the strong gusts of wind, the Zacatecas Archery Academy continues its arduous preparation for the State Selective of the specialty, which will be held this Sunday to meet the Zacatecas who will advance to the Conade National Games.

With great enthusiasm, the little archers carried out their last training session this Saturday heading to the qualifier with the help of their coach Arturo Nañez Rodríguez, who declared to NTR Deportes that there will be a total of 6 young people who will be participating.

“There is a lot of variety in this selection, there are some kids who have been preparing for 2 to 3 years, others who have only been 3 or 4 months old, but they are very well prepared kids who will experience this test as a warm-up for their career as goalkeepers,” projection.

The coach detailed that the participating categories for the qualifier will be the sub-14, sub-18 and sub-24, of which they will be active in all of them seeking a place in the Conade 2024 Nationals.

In an atmosphere full of motivation and camaraderie, the Zacatecan archers refined the last details for their most important test, where Nañez Rodríguez highlighted that the wind will be an important factor.

“Depending on the speed of the wind, the boys’ ability to properly support and accommodate their shot will depend on it, but the air does affect the practice of the discipline enough.”

The young Zacatecans who will see activity in the Selective will be: Zaid Arturo Nañez Zúñiga and Ariadna Cristina Campos Díaz in Sub-18, Jesús Alejandro Sifuentes in Sub-24 and Luis Mario Ramírez Rodríguez, Dylan Fabián Alejandro Mendoza Abrego, Mariano Rivera Gutierrez in sub- 14.
