Who are the last champion clubs for the first time in their country within the Big 5?

Elsewhere in Europe, we need to dig out the history books

The Scottish Championship leaves little room for newcomers with the two behemoths, Celtic Glasgow and Glasgow Rangers. The last to win the title for the first time was Dundee United FC, in 1982-1983. In Switzerland, FC Lucerne won the title in the 1988-1989 season. In Portugal, to everyone’s surprise, Boavista FC, a club located in Porto, won in 2000-2001. The Eredivisie is not divided much either, and FC Twente knew how to take advantage of it when necessary, being crowned champion at the end of the 2009-2010 season. At the Belgian neighbor, La Gantoise was able to write its name on the trophy in 2014-2015. More recently in Türkiye, Basaksehir, a club based in Istanbul, won the title in 2019-2020.
