Villeneuve d’Ascq-Prague: at what time and on which channel to follow the semi-final of the Women’s Euroleague?

Ten years since we last saw that. Friday against USK Prague, the Villeneuve-d’Ascq basketball players will take part in the Euroleague Final Four. The Northerners will thus succeed Bourges, the last French club to have reached, in 2014, the semi-finals of the biggest European basketball competition.

You have to go back twenty years to find traces of the last title of a French club, Valenciennes, in 2004. Beaten in Miskolc (78-66) in the first match before winning at home (63-59), the players of Rachid Meziane, European champion in 2023 at the head of Belgium, snatched their ticket during the quarter-final support match (73-58).

The French vice-champions and current leaders of the Women’s League are challenging an opponent they have already met twice in Pool B (one victory, one defeat), and who has qualified for the third time in a row in the last four of the Euroleague. The Czech team counts in its ranks the French international winger Valériane Ayayi Vukosavljević, who notably played with the Blue in the Tokyo Olympics while she was pregnant.

The match between Villeneuve d’Ascq-USK Prague is scheduled to kick off at 3 p.m. this Friday, April 12. The match will be broadcast live on the Skweek platform.
