The Councilor for Sports, Elena Justo, accompanied by the President of the Club Bienvenido Corral and Sara Herrero, have presented the VI “La Veguilla” Archery Trophy, which will be held on Sunday, April 7, starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Athletics Tracks. from the city.
Sara Herrero explained that this competition is “quite fun” with federated archers who come from León, Ávila, Zamora, Salamanca or Asturias. In total 55 athletes who will practice the 3D bow modality with several rounds where they will shoot animal replicas. An open participation from 15 years old.
For his part, the President of the Club indicated that five categories will compete, involving all types of bows except the Olympic one. Bienvenido pointed out that this competition is the first time it has been held on the athletics tracks.
The councilor, for her part, encouraged attendees to contemplate this sport, although since it is a shooting sport, the organization asks that access be made from the sides or behind the athletes to avoid accidents.
