– On a “Perfect Hip” was built on the Swiss mountaintop with the explicit mission of sending riders aloft safely with two snowboarders and one skier setting new world height records.
– The largest air of the week was recorded by Gubser (SUI, SKI) who reached a height of 14.6 meters (47.9 feet) on Friday, April 12, beating the previous record of 14.2 m (46 .6 feet) set by American David Wise in 2016.
– 23-year-old freestyler Gubser said: “I tried it a little with a slower speed, and then getting faster and faster. We were looking for where the limit is and I found it. I found my limit.”
– He added: “The Swatch Nines are always very special because you never see features like this in normal snowparks or during the World Cup. It’s a completely different experience.
