This Tuesday the regional stage of the 2024 Universiade will begin, where the UdeC will attend with a total of 245 university students, including athletes and coaches. The event will be from April 9 to 13, in the state of Jalisco, with the sports facilities of the University of Guadalajara (UdeG), ITESM Guadalajara campus and the Autonomous University of Guadalajara (UAG), among others.
The regional will be divided into 22 sports, in which the University of Colima will only have participation in 18 of them, which are chess, athletics, basketball, 3×3 basketball, university boxing, association football, bards football, handball, judo, karate, weightlifting, college wrestling, rugby sevens, tae kwon do, tennis, table tennis, indoor volleyball and beach volleyball.
The Maximum House of Studies in Colima enters into action with chess, association football, bards football, karate and beach volleyball, this Tuesday and closes its participation on Saturday with weightlifting and association football.
The national phase will take place in the state of Aguascalientes from May 11 to 28 and there will be 30 disciplines in the search for medals.
