Unicaja does not fail to lead against Casademont Zaragoza

Lenovo Tenerife and UCAM Murcia remain strong at the top

MADRID, 13 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Unicaja beat Casademont Zaragoza (83-72) this Saturday on matchday 29 of the Endesa League to defend its newly released leadership, while Lenovo Tenerife and UCAM Murcia won again in their clear intention of being seeded in ‘playoffs’.

Ibon Navarro’s men dominated from start to finish in a festive Martín Carpena, seeing his team defend the first position in the table with authority. The locals led 49-28 at half-time, in another Malaga choral performance at the top.

Nihad Djedovic and Tyson Carter, with 13 points, were the ones who stood out the most within a Unicaja that works on all sides. The pride of Mano looked for a comeback in the last quarter, but was far from surprising a Unicaja that passed the pressure on Real Madrid, one win away, which hosts Joventut this Sunday.

In addition, this Saturday the day left the eighth victory in the last nine games for a UCAM Murcia that defeated (90-77) Zunder Palencia. The bottom player sold his skin dearly but ended up giving in to the lethal duo they formed in Sito Alonso Sant-Roos (19 points and 26 rating) and Radovic (18 and 21), the most valued player in the club’s history.

On the other hand, Lenovo Tenerife signed their fifth victory in a row, to tie with the Murcia team on 19 wins in the fight for fourth place or third even if Barça is neglected. Txus Vidorreta’s team defeated Surne Bilbao Basket (101-84) with a Shermadini differential (25 points and a PIR of 43).

In addition, BAXI Manresa achieved a key victory against Monbus Obradoiro (86-94) to defend its eighth place, playoff zone, after the defeat last week against Unicaja. Pedro Martínez’s men were more successful in the decisive minutes, with Badio being key (25 and 28).
