TSV 1864 Schlettau Judo Team Shines at District Championships in Chemnitz

Seven judokas from TSV 1864 Schlettau made their way to Chemnitz on April 13, 2024 to determine the district champions in the respective weight class in the U13 age group and thus buy their ticket to participate in the state championship.

Four girls and three boys crossed the scales for TSV 1864 Schlettau Judo.

Showed a very strong performance Sarah Steingräber, she fought like a lioness and only narrowly lost in the final. She took second place in the -52 kg weight class.

Hannah Meyer (+57 kg) fought for silver with perseverance and constant attack, very good Hannah!

Louisa Support (-44 kg) and Marlene Anke (-57 kg) both showed a lot of fighting spirit and deservedly secured a bronze medal with two fights won and two lost.

With the boys sat down Hannes Hüttner (-31 kg) implemented the things he learned in training very well and, among other things, threw a beautiful O-goshi on Ippon. Even though it wasn’t enough for a medal in the end, it was still a strong performance.

Paul Schimm (-55 kg) took 5th place after losing the fight for 3rd place. There was definitely more to it, I’m sure it will work next time.

Fought in his first competition Konstantin Reinhard (-46k g) courageous and gained valuable experience for upcoming tournaments. Even though it wasn’t enough to win, he took third place and was able to celebrate a medal.

We wish everyone who qualified a successful national championship on April 5th, 2024 in Rodewisch and keep our fingers crossed.
