“Tribune Bleue”, great novelty
For several days, a group of French supporters have been making themselves heard in the stands of the Madrid Masters 1000. The Team went to meet those who now call themselves Tribune Bleue. “We found that there was a lack of atmosphere in tennis and we wanted to revitalize the stands. In Estoril, three weeks ago, Fabien Reboul and Sadio Doumbia told us that it would be good for us to get started and put something together. Many players made us feel this lack and this mental need to be supported” explains Augustin, one of the founders of this group, a student.
Unfailing support
In tennis, having the support of fans in the stands is a huge advantage. Since the start of the season, the French have been lucky to have almost everyone in the stands and this was already the case at theAustralian Open. “Mythical, I love it. It’s so good when you’re far from home to have support like this. You want to fight for them. The guys are on point, it’s so nice. It’s cool to have the guys pushing you,” confided Ugo Humbert. Many of his comrades followed suit by following the Tribune Bleue on the networks.
Respect at the center of the project
It happens that the French public receives a lot of criticism due to the behavior of some in the public. HAS Roland-Garros or to Bercy, there were often excesses. The Blue Tribune’s project is precisely to support its foal while respecting its adversary. “Our goal is to always respect the rules of tennis: not to shout about a double fault, not to distract the opponent.
