A week after the final in Monte Carlo, Casper Ruud and Stefanos Tsitsipas will now face each other in the final of the ATP Tour 500 tournament in Barcelona.

Stefanos Tsitsipas is in the final in Barcelona
Because it was so nice, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Casper Ruud have now arranged to meet in Barcelona for the final. Ruud defeated Argentina’s Tomas Martin Etcheverry 7:6 (6) and 6:4 in the first semi-final. Tsitsipas followed suit with a 5:7, 6:4 and 6:2 win against Dusan Lajovic. A week ago, Tsitsipas gave Ruud no chance and celebrated his third triumph in the principality.
In Barcelona, the Greek had the biggest difficulties so far in the quarter-finals. Tsitsipas even had to fend off a match point against Facuno Diaz Acosta. Ruud, who is in third place, has not yet given a set. Tomorrow, both players will be aiming for their first title at the 500 level.
For Ruud it would be the biggest title of his career in terms of value. Tsitsipas now has three 1000cc championships on his side – all won in Monte Carlo.
