“Trainer C Training: Violence Prevention for Children” – A Recap of the January 26th – January 28, 2024 Event in Westerstede.

Trainer C training from January 26th – January 28, 2024 “Violence Prevention for Children”

Under the motto “The story of the big and the little no,” 27 judoka came together in Westerstede under the leadership of NJV training manager Martin von den Benken and NJV self-defense speaker Frank Lambrecht to do their own training with their protégés and the topic of violence prevention to get ideas for children at daycare centers and schools.

In addition to a lot of theory, including “What is violence?”, “What forms of violence are there?”, “Where can I get help?”, “How do I structure an age-appropriate exercise session?”, the practice-oriented part was of course not neglected: In the practice -Participants were also able to test their voice loudly. The participants were put in the mood with a loud “Stop, stop!”, “Go away!” or simply a loud “No!” and the right body language. Possible situations were rehearsed “from practice, for practice” with a lot of role play and the appropriate behavior was practiced using age-appropriate SV techniques, among other things, in order to turn a “small no” into a “big no”.

On the last day of the course, the participants were able to immediately put into practice what they had learned the day before. Working groups had to develop a concept for a possible prevention seminar and present it to the other groups.
