Ex-Bayern Munich talent Joshua Zirkzee is being discussed by several top European clubs. AC Milan in particular is said to have intensified its transfer efforts, according to Football Italia.
The Milanese have a lot of competition when it comes to courting Zirkzee: Manchester United, Arsenal FC and Juventus Turin are also said to have put out feelers for the talented striker.
However, Milan has already budgeted 40 to 50 million euros for a striker signing. Since striker Olivier Giroud is leaving the club for FC Los Angeles, a long-term solution is being sought.
Alternatively, two Bundesliga stars, Serhou Guirassy from VfB Stuttgart and Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, are also on the list. Jonathan David from LOSC Lille is also said to be an option.
Zirkzee collected 17 scorer points in 30 games for FC Bologna this season under Thiago Motta and drew attention to himself with his top performances.
When FC Bayern let the striker go in the summer of 2022 after four years for 8.5 million, they secured a buyback option of 20 to 25 million euros as well as a resale share of between 35 and 50 percent.
Regardless of the outcome of the transfer poker, Bayern will try to benefit as much as possible from the Dutchman. A return to Munich is also on the cards.
