The Uncertain Future of Jose Mourinho: Where Will the Elite Manager Go Next?

Bola.com, Jakarta Jose Mourinho hasn’t coached since parting ways with AS Roma in January. His future is still a mystery.

“I would like to work tomorrow if possible, but I don’t want to make the wrong decision,” Mourinho said when asked about his next destination, via Football ItaliaSunday (7/4/2024).

During his time at the Stadio Olimpico, the Portuguese coach guided the club to the UEFA Europa Conference League title in 2022 and followed this up by advancing to the UEFA Europa League final a year later. However, poor results which left Roma in 9th place in the league made the club part ways with him.

Even though he was fired at four previous clubs (Roma, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Chelsea), Mourinho is still an elite manager. He has lifted the Champions League twice and won eight league titles in England (3), Portugal (2), Italy (2), and Spain (1).
