Bleus and Bleues are in the last four at the Hong Kong Sevens, and will respectively challenge Ireland and the United States on Sunday morning.
The French rugby sevens team is in great shape. Even without Antoine Dupont, starting with Toulouse on Sunday to challenge Racing 92 in the round of 16 of the Champions Cup, the Blues had an excellent tournament in Hong Kong. Jérôme Daret’s men are in the semi-final for the third time in a row after Vancouver (3rd) and Los Angeles (winners).
In the quarter-finals, the Tricolores defeated Spain (24-10) on Saturday. They will face Ireland on Sunday morning (7:40 a.m.) for a place in the final. An opponent they had beaten in the final in Los Angeles. Australia and New Zealand will compete for the other place in the final.
For their part, the French are also in the semi-final after having disposed of the Irish in the quarters (31-7) on Saturday morning. They will face the United States on Sunday morning around 6:54 a.m.
