He may be in great form this season and be unbeatable within one of the best teams in the league, but Rudy Gobert is far from unanimous. Proof of this is Paul Pierce’s latest astonishing outing about the French superstar…
On paper, Rudy Gobert has a lot of arguments for him. He is the captain of the best defense in the league at the Timberwolves, he is on his way to his 4th career DPOY (equaling an NBA record) and without him, Minnesota is seriously struggling in 2023-24… And yet, the pivot continues to suffer violent disrespect.
It must be said that the Frenchman has a good number of detractors in the United States, whether among his peers or the media. Recently again, he was badly humiliated by a leader…and don’t count on Paul Pierce to boost his popularity with the US public. Passing on the set of the show Undisputedthe 2008 champion with the Celtics made a scathing statement about The Stifle Tower.
