The Shortest Match Ever: RWDM vs Eupen

Shortest match ever

RWDM and Eupen kept each other in balance this season in the mutual matches. In the first round of the regular competition, Eupen lost 1-3 at home, but in the return round it took full advantage with a 0-1 victory in the Edmond Machtens Stadium.

Without a doubt, that was one of the most bizarre matches of the past season, because due to misconduct by the home fans, the match was stopped early with a 0-1 score. Three days later, both teams still had to play 11 minutes in the shortest match ever in the Belgian top flight, but no more goals were scored.

RWDM was sentenced to play one home match behind closed doors and one away match without fans, as punishment for the disturbances during the canceled competition match. Just like last week in Charleroi, the team has to do without the support of the twelfth man today.
