The Santurce Cangrejeros Form Winning Squad for 2024-25 Roberto Clemente League Season

The Santurce Cangrejeros of Professional Baseball begin to form their winning squad en route to the 2024-25 season of the Roberto Clemente League.

Once the period established between the Puerto Rico Baseball Players Association and the LBPRC through free agency has ended, the Cangrejeros announce the signing of the players:

Johneshwy Fargas, Jancarlos Cintrón, Juan Centeno and Ruben Castro.

From the Criollos de Caguas, outfielder Johneshwy Fargas joins the Cangrejeros, who has been active since 2023 with the Saraperos de Saltillo team of the Mexican League.

He has played in Major League Baseball for the New York Mets and the Chicago Cubs.

Second baseman Jancarlos Cintrón arrives from Caguas and will be in the Cangrejero uniform in the upcoming 2024-25 season of the Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League (LBPRC). Cintron is signed in the Rookie and Double A league, with the Arizona Diamondbacks organization and has had an excellent performance in the last 2024 Caribbean Series.

Juan Carlos Centeno joined as a catcher for the Saraperos de Saltillo of the Mexican League and arrives from the Criollos de Caguas. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Mets, the
Milwaukee Brewers, Minnesota Twins, Houston Astros, Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox.

The utility man, Rubén Castro, who in 2023 made history when he became the first batting champion of the Double A Superior Baseball and the Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League, returns to the Cangrejeros from RA12. Castro participated in the minor league of the Houston Astros and in the independent league in Canada.

The Cangrejeros de Santurce are preparing for a strong and close new season in which they will celebrate their 85 years of foundation in crab style.
