This Thursday the chats that goalkeeper Sebastián Sosa had with his wife between the night of March 2 and the early hours of the next day came to light. This is evidence that could be key in the sexual abuse case in which the Uruguayan and three other former Vélez players are accused.

The conversation that Sosa has with Stephani Correa, his partner, begins on the night of March 2, after the game that Vélez had played as a visitor against Atlético Tucumán. The exchange extends until 2 a.m. the next day.
Correa was having a birthday and Sosa wrote to him from the room where Abiel Osorio, Braian Cufré and José Florentín were also present, the other three denounced players, who are currently under house arrest in Tucumán.
Two minutes before 2 in the morning, the Uruguayan goalkeeper tells his wife that he is going to sleep and says goodbye.
As explained by TN journalist José Inesta, the young woman who reported the soccer players stated that the abuse occurred approximately between 12:40 a.m. and 2 a.m. on March 3. Justice must analyze whether Sosa was lucid and what type of participation he could have had.

Regarding what happened at the Tucumán hotel, Sosa commented: “I followed our story there, it seemed to me that they said something. In his statement before the Court, Sosa acknowledged having a “secondary WhatsApp” because his wife used to check his cell phone. “I started sending messages (to the complainant) from another WhatsApp on my cell phone. Luckily I sent them there, because otherwise I would have deleted them so as not to have problems with my wife,” he said.
“If I had sent from my official number, I would have deleted everything as I asked her. If my wife is watching the WhatsApp web, maybe I’ll get into trouble for something stupid. I do not dismiss the issue of someone coming to the hotel for a drink. “I did not delete a single message from that conversation, everything is there to expose it,” she said.
What is the situation of Sebastián Sosa in the case?
Until now, the Tucumán Justice Department considered that Sosa had a secondary participation in the sexual abuse case. The judge ruled to release the goalkeeper, who paid bail of 50 million pesos.
In recent days, Vélez terminated the contracts of the four footballers involved in the case.
