Play Off Scudetto, another fatal tie break with Monza: the race stops in the Semifinal

The defense of the Scudetto that he wears on his shirts ends one step away from qualifying for his possible tenth Play Off Final ever for Itas Trentino. This evening at the IlT Daily Arena the Italian Champions only had to give way to the tie break at Mint Vero Volley Monza in the fifth and decisive match of the Semifinal Series. By conquering Trento for the second time in seven days in the fifth set, the Brianza team have therefore completed the comeback that began last Sunday and secured the pass for the Italian match against Perugia which will start on Thursday 18 April in Umbria.
The race in the scoreboard for the yellow-blues, who emerged amidst the applause of the 3,300 spectators present today at the stadium in via Fersina, will now continue with the final for third place against Milan which will begin on Wednesday again at the IlT Daily Arena and which will be awarded to the winner of the series at the best of five matches the qualification for the next Champions League. A match that will be able to prepare Soli’s team for the most awaited event of the entire Club season, represented by the SuperFinals of the 2024 CEV Champions League, scheduled in Antalya (Turkey) on May 5th against the Polish side Jastrzebski Wegiel.
This evening’s match reflected in every way the many sudden reversals that the two teams have implemented over the last two weeks of direct clash. With blocking and attack the guests were able to have a better impact on the match, immediately taking an 0-2 lead; with pride and heart first and then also with an increasingly convincing game, made more effective by Rychlicki’s great scoring streak (in the end 31 personal points with 66% in attack and two blocks), the yellow-blues had managed to climb back up the ladder bent to play the tie break. Takahashi (mvp of the match) thought of the advantages and only on the fourth occasion to close the match and eliminate Soli’s team, which throughout the match was able to count on a great Kozamernik (13 points with 7 blocks, 2 aces and ‘80% in attack) and also saw the return to the field, albeit only for a few moments in the second line, of Riccardo Sbertoli.
