World champion Andreas Obst (27) has had a difficult time: muscle inflammation in his thigh slowed him down for five weeks.
Obst was part of the squad again in the 90:82 win against Würzburg, but was not used.
“I’m doing well, I can train fully again,” says Obst at the BILD party in Munich. The playoffs begin in mid-May, then it’s all about the title for the current easycredit BBL leaders. And for that they need their three-point specialist in top condition.
And the Olympic Games are coming up in Paris in the summer. Obst would like to cause a sensation again with the national team. Also in his luggage: his very special lucky charm.
Fruit reveals secret
Girlfriend Ines will come to Paris with me. “I really want to be there,” reveals his partner.
She gives him strength and support whenever possible: Ines hardly ever misses a home game and regularly cheers on her Andi in the BMW Park. The pretty event manager also sat under the basket during the cup victory and created glamor with her glittery trousers.

And she is also his biggest fan at the big events: at the World Cup last summer, she was afraid until the final of the games that she would end up cheering with him at the biggest triumph in German basketball history.
