The Port of Bilbao gives the green light to the Petronor e-fuels plant |

The Port Authority of Bilbao has approved the concession requested by Petronor, a Repsol subsidiary, for the development of its new facility for the production of e-fuels in the Biscayan facility. With this, the Petronor synthetic fuel plant has already received the green light to anchor in Euskadi.

Specifically, on March 26, the board of directors of the port institution officially granted a general concession for the occupation of 46,700 square meters of public port domain in Punta Sollana, in the municipality of Ziérbena, to Petróleos del Norte (Petronor).

According to the port authority, it is a space intended for the “construction and operation of an industrial logistics terminal with associated maritime traffic.” In fact, a minimum traffic of 282,000 tons per year is established during the 30-year term established in the resolution approved by the port of Bilbao.
