Qatar – The 2024 U 23 Asian Cup will be held soon. This event will be held in Qatar from April 15 to May 3 2024.
It is interesting to talk about the composition of the participating countries in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup. 14 of the 16 participating teams also appeared in the 2022 U-23 Asian Cup which was held in Uzbekistan.
There are only two countries that did not appear in the previous edition. Namely the Indonesian U-23 and Chinese National Teams. These two teams replaced Iran and Turkmenistan who failed to make it to Qatar.
The Indonesian U 23 national team is listed as the only debutant team in Qatar. Other teams have already appeared in this event.

The U-23 Asian Cup has only been held five times. Interestingly, the five editions always produce different champions.
Iraq won the inaugural edition in 2013, followed by Japan (2016), Uzbekistan (2018), South Korea (2020) and Saudi Arabia (2022).
Another interesting fact is that none of the hosts were able to emerge as champions.
The 2024 U-23 Asian Cup will be a qualifying event for the 2024 Olympics. The three best teams will travel to Paris, while the fourth place will play a playoff against Africa’s representative, Guinea.
