Sweden-France live: Wendie Renard ruled out?

The French women’s team travels to Sweden this Tuesday, for the second day of the Euro 2025 qualifiers.

Sweden-France, pre-match

Four days after starting their Euro 2025 qualifying campaign in Switzerland with a short but precious success against Ireland (1-0), thanks to an achievement from Marie-Antoinette Katoto, the Blues travel this Tuesday to Sweden, in Gothenburg, with the ambition to continue in order to secure one of the first two places in the group.

Currently at the top of their group, Hervé Renard’s squad is two points ahead of Sweden and England, who played out in a draw (1-1) last Friday. Note that the last time the Tricolores faced the Swedes, the latter largely won (3-0), two years ago during a friendly match.

Sweden-France, the probable lineups

For this meeting, Hervé Renard should make several changes compared to the eleven he lined up against Ireland. Substitute four days ago, Wendie Renard should find her place in central defense for this trip to Sweden, although she was the victim of a minor illness against the Irish. Amandine Henry and Eugénie Le Sommer should also find a starting place.

Sweden: Falk – Lundkvist, Sembrant, Eriksson, Andersson – Angeldahl, Asllani (cap), Zigiotti Olme – Rytting Kaneryd, Blackstenius, Rolfö

France: Peyraud-Magnin – Lakrar, Mbock, Renard (cap), Karchaoui – Geyoro, Henry, Youth – D. Cascarino, Katoto, Le Sommer
