Rafael Nadal, 37, won the first match he played in more than three months on Tuesday by easily defeating the Italian Flavio Cobolli, 62nd player in the world, in two sets (6-2, 6-3) on Tuesday in Barcelona. The Spaniard with 22 Grand Slam titles, hampered by repeated pain, had not played on the ATP circuit since a new hip injury in Brisbane at the beginning of January. He will face Australian Alex de Minaur, 11th player in the world, in the next round.
