On the weekend of April 4th and 5th, the U18 Cadet European Cup took place in Teplice, Czech Republic, as well as the Men’s and Women’s U21 European Cup in Dubrovnik.
In Teplice, Demetre Makalatiya (1. JC Samurai Offenbach / HE) won the title in the weight class up to 60 kg. In total he had to complete six fights, four of which reached the Golden Score, in order to ultimately reach the top spot on the podium.
Another Hessian starter was Tim Nebenühr from JC Petersberg. He fought for 7th place.
Helene Riegert (-57 kg, JC Wiesbaden, HE) competed at the U21 European Cup in Dubrovnik. After four great fights she was able to secure third place.
