Success and Generosity: Christmas Market Associations Share Profits with Community Clubs

At the end of last week, the city council’s culture commission invited the ten voluntary associations of the Christmas market to take stock of the latest edition. The financial statement of the refreshment bar has been drawn up. The profits were redistributed to football, basketball, twirling, tennis and badminton clubs, as well as to the UNC (National Union of Fighters), the Mouilleron Entente, Festi’son, Envie appart’agée and Germinoise. Despite the absence of the sweet service provider, we were able to react by taking charge of the pancakes. The various free activities such as the carriage, Santa Claus, the barrel organ and the balloon sculptor worked well. Also, the concert at the church, with the two choirs, made it possible to make a donation of €461 to the rescuers,” explains Alexandrine Grolier, deputy in charge of the culture commission.

The best profit since the debut, €1,432.32, was split. Each association manager received a check for €143.23. The commission is already thinking about the next edition, on Sunday December 15.
