With the consecration in the Monte-Carlo Masters 1000 after beating in the final Casper Ruud (10th in the ATP) by 6-1 and 6-4, Stefanos Tsitsipas (12th) won his third title in the Monegasque competition.

In this way, the Greek joined a very small group of active tennis players who achieved at least three coronations in the same Masters 1000 category event.
In addition to the native of Athens, the other three who achieved it were Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray. In any case, the new Monte-Carlo champion is the only one to achieve this if only those born after 1990 are taken into account.
