Before the quarter-final first leg of the Champions League between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona, Lamine Yamal was targeted by a racist comment from a Spanish TV consultant. “If things go badly for him, he could end up next to a traffic light”launched during the warm-up Germán Burgos, consultant for Movistar+leading to laughter from his colleagues.
The Spanish channel was quick to apologize, promising « d’ adopt appropriate measures to ensure that these events do not happen again.” Burgos, former goalkeeper for Atlético de Madrid between 2001 and 2004, finally left his position by mutual agreement with the media, according to Relief et Sport.
Dubious justification
