Shilov was previously called up to the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks as the team’s No. 1 goaltender Thatcher Demko recuperated from an injury, but he is now back in the lineup.
The 23-year-old Shilov has participated in four NHL matches this season, won three, averaged 2.47 innings and saved 88.1% of opponents’ shots.
On April 8, Shilov helped the Canucks win against the NHL champion Vegas Golden Knights.
Shilov made his NHL debut last season, playing five games. In two seasons, in a total of nine matches, he won six victories, allowed 2.62 goals and saved 89.8% of shots.
This season, Shilov has spent most of the time in the AHL team Abbotsford “Canucks”, whose team has saved 90.7% of opponents’ shots in 33 matches and allowed an average of 2.74 innings.
