The longest running tennis tournament in the Barcelona hinterland, the “Double Yellow Super 32”, organized by Nino Rando and now in its 31st edition, ended on Saturday afternoon.
This year the event was dedicated to the memory of the late Mario Sidoti, an esteemed accountant from Barcelona who died suddenly last December. Sidoti has been a committed player since the first hour of this tournament which has now become a point of reference for amateur tennis in the area.
The 2024 edition was won by the Settineri-Cassata pair, who prevailed over the Di Pasquale-Abbate pair with a score of 7-6 6-3 at the end of an exciting and tough match. The participants experienced moments of great emotion, especially during the awards ceremony which saw the welcome presence of Giuseppe Sidoti, brother of the late Mario.
