Jannik Sinner will face Grigor Dimitrov in the final of the ATP Masters tournament in Miami today (from 9 p.m.). After his clear win against competitor Daniil Medvedev, the Australian Open winner met tennis legend Serena Williams. She praised the Italian after his impressive performance.
But the 23-time major title holder was particularly impressed by the South Tyrolean’s forehand. “I wish I would play my forehand exactly like that,” said the tennis queen to the world number three after the match, referring primarily to the speed and power that Jannik Sinner can generate with this shot.
Serena Williams maintains contact with Grigor Dimitrov
With Grigor Dimitrov, Sinner will face a player in the final in Miami that Serena Williams also knows well. The 42-year-old has maintained close contact with the Bulgarian for many years. So it’s quite possible that the American will keep her fingers crossed for his opponent despite Jannik Sinner’s forehand.
