The 2024 edition of Roland-Garros aims to be ever more generous with the players in the big picture. This year, the “Prize money” increased by 7.82% compared to last season to reach 53.478 million euros, compared to 49.6 during the 2023 edition won by Novak Djokovic among the men and Iga Swiatek in women.
More income for qualified people
If the top 100 once again takes the lion’s share, the organizers of the Porte d’Auteuil tournament have not forgotten the players from the qualifications. The prize pool for the qualifying tournament, which is played a week before, has been increased by almost 25%. A player eliminated in the first round of qualifying is guaranteed to receive 20,000 euros, which represents what a player eliminated in the first round of the big draw received ten years ago.
