Adrian Newey is considered perhaps the most brilliant Formula 1 designer ever. He has been working for Red Bull for almost 20 years and has celebrated title after title. Now he is said to have already announced his move internally. The star designer is apparently served.

In the wake of the affair surrounding Red Bull team boss Christian Horner, star designer Adrian Newey is reportedly about to leave the Formula 1 racing team. As “Auto, Motor und Sport” and the BBC reported on Thursday, among others, Newey is said to have already informed Red Bull of his desire to leave. There were initially no official reports on this.

The 65-year-old Newey is considered perhaps the most brilliant Formula 1 designer ever; he is the spiritual father of many world champion cars. The affair surrounding Horner is said to have caused him to leave early despite a valid contract until the end of 2025.

Newey has been working for the Formula 1 team since 2006, which, after a marriage to Sebastian Vettel from 2010 to 2013, is now once again the benchmark in the premier class of motorsport with superstar Max Verstappen. There have been repeated speculations about a farewell to Newey in the past. Newey is said to be unhappy about the power struggle at Red Bull, wrote “Auto, Motor und Sport”.
