REAL SEBASTIANI RIETI, having taken note of the fine of €417.00 imposed today by the Italian Basketball Federation with official press release 524 of 09.04 24, for collective and sporadic offenses against the referees and some opposing members, on the occasion of the last match home disputed against SELLA CENTO, would like to point out that every Sunday our Company fully respects the safety requirements established by current legislation, with adequate and suitable personnel on duty in the building to support Public Security activities, in all sectors of the building, towards the visiting fans and on the sidelines.
We do not feel responsible for the attitudes of individuals who, however offensive, act extemporaneously without allowing us to prevent such attitudes, which are certainly harmful as well as offensive.
The objective responsibility for which we are fined seems to be exorbitant compared to the use of protection and safety services that we express to guarantee the successful outcome of our sporting events.
Having said that, we publicly repudiate any offensive attitude expressed by our public to whom we address a heartfelt appeal to never again record behavior that is extremely harmful to our society, with serious repercussions on an economic level as well as on image.
We ask our fans to express their affection and love for our colors through always positive support and always in favor of our athletes. We want to reiterate, today more than ever, that Rieti and this club must be a positive model for young people and families who participate in our sporting life.
We have informed the Italian Basketball Federation of our official position.
