On Tuesday, the players of “Real Madrid” and “Manchester City” played a draw in the first match of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, the fight in Madrid ended with the result 3:3 (2:1).
The Manchester team took the lead in the second minute when Bernarda Silva surprised the home goalkeeper after a standard situation.
Less than ten minutes later, Eduardo Kamavinga hit the ball at City’s goal from a long distance and, after hitting another guest player, Ruben Dias, it went into Manchester’s goal, the result became a draw, and two minutes later, Rodrigo scored for “Real” 2:1 .
In the middle of the second half, within five minutes, “City” fought back and regained a one-goal advantage, with accurate shots from Phil Foden and Josko Guardiola, but in the 79th minute, “Real” equalized the result again after the goal scored by Federico Valverde.
The sum of the two games of the winner will advance to the next round.
32 teams played in the main tournament of the Champions League. The two best teams of each subgroup made it to the round of 16, while the third-placed team continued their season in the UEFA Europa League elimination tournament.
The final will be held on June 1, 2024 at Wembley Stadium in London.
Manchester City won the Champions League last season, beating Italian club Inter Milan 1-0 in Istanbul, winning the competition for the first time.
“Arsenal” – “Bayern”
London “Arsenal” football players did not protect the advantage gained at the beginning of the first half in the first match of the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, but they fought back in the second half and ended the match in a draw.
“Arsenal” played a draw with “Bayern” Munich at home with the result 2:2 (1:2).
Bukayo Saka put the home team in the lead in the 12th minute, but six minutes later, Serzh Gnabrî equalized the score, who ended the counterattack with an accurate shot after Leon Gorecka’s pass.
On the other hand, in the 32nd minute, “Bayern” took the lead after the penalty kick was accurately executed by Harry Kane.
The hosts achieved a draw only in the 76th minute, when Leandro Trosar scored a goal.
