Spanish title almost in hand
Unlike Bayern Munich, Real Madrid is still on course for a new national title. With 5 matchdays to go and more than 11 points ahead of FC Barcelona, the 36th national title is as good as won for the Royal. Arda Güler gave Real the full spoils at Real Sociedad last Friday, the sixth league victory in a row.
Real is now unbeaten in 18 games across all competitions. The last defeat dates back to January 18, when it was knocked out of the Copa del Rey by city rivals Atletico. The team of Axel Witsel and Arthur Vermeeren is also the only team that Real could beat this season.
