Real Madrid-Barcelona: singer Karol G’s logo on Barca’s jersey for the Clasico

FC Barcelona will wear the logo of Colombian singer Karol G on its jersey during the Clasico against Real Madrid next week, the reigning Spanish champion club announced on Friday.

Barca has already worn the logos of the Rolling Stones and artists Drake and Rosalia during previous Clasicos, as part of its sponsorship agreement with the music streaming platform Spotify.

“This time, it is the Colombian Karol G, the most listened to female Latin music artist in the world on Spotify over the last four years,” who will be in the spotlight, said the Catalan club in a press release.

The logo – barbed wire in the shape of a heart – of the 33-year-old reggaeton singer will first appear on the women’s team’s jersey during the Liga F match against Villarreal on Saturday, before the men’s team wear it against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu on April 21.

The Catalans signed their sponsorship contract with Spotify, the famous Swedish music streaming service based in Stockholm, in March 2022 for four seasons. It would amount to 280 million euros ($299 million).

Before its meeting against Real Madrid, FC Barcelona will host PSG next Tuesday in the quarter-final second leg of the Champions League after winning at the Parc des Princes (3-2) this Wednesday evening.
