Rashee Rice, receiver of the champions Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL, shared this Wednesday on his social networks that he is training with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, in Texas, while his legal situation due to a car accident is being resolved.

Last Tuesday, Chiefs coach Andy Reid stated that Rice will participate in the first phase of the team’s training sessions during the offseason remotely due to the legal situation he faces.

The 23-year-old receiver was involved in a car accident on March 30 that left four people injured.

After the player left the scene without paying attention to those affected, last Wednesday the Dallas Police Department, Texas, issued an arrest warrant for him on eight charges: six of collision with bodily injury, one of aggravated assault and one more for collision involving serious bodily injury.

Rice, who has been cooperating with police, turned himself in 24 hours after the warrant was issued and posted $5,000 bail for each of the eight charges filed against him. His total bail was $40,000.

Rice took advantage of the fact that for three seasons the star and leader of the team, Patrick Mahomes, has organized practices in the state where he is from, which are attended by some of the team’s receivers, including Rashee.

“I’m sure we will continue that work as the legal process unfolds,” Mahomes said.

Rice shared through his Instagram account some videos in which he is seen making some trajectories in which he receives passes from Mahomes at the football facilities of a high school in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The NFL, which has not commented on the situation, is closely monitoring the police investigation.
