Ramos trains normally with Stade Toulousain

Absent from the round of 16 of the Champions Cup against Racing 92 (31-7), last Sunday, Thomas Ramos should return to the team for the quarter-final against Exeter, Sunday, at Ernest-Wallon (4 p.m. ). The full-back or flyhalf from Stade Toulousain, who suffered from a contusion on the iliac crest since the Top 14 match against UBB (28-31 defeat) on March 24, has been training normally since Monday.

This Wednesday afternoon, he was among his partners for the first collective session of the week without any apparent discomfort. However, will he start on his return against Exeter? Very possible.

Barassi out for three or four weeks

Toulouse manager Ugo Mola notably confided on Sunday that his team would “not be without Thomas for too long”. Ramos could notably replace Romain Ntamack at the opening, to avoid the latter having too many matches after his long absence due to injury (rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee). Or even recover his full-back position in place of the Scotsman Blair Kinghorn, who would then slide onto a wing or onto the bench.

Apart from the long-term injured (Jelonch, Placines, Capuozzo, Laulala…), only Pierre-Louis Barassi was missing from today’s training. The three-quarter international center, who was injured against Racing, suffers from a fracture in his costal cartilage and should be absent for at least three or four weeks. It is this Friday, at midday, that the composition of the team against Exeter will be revealed.
