HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Hollywood police body camera shows moments officers broke a woman’s car window to save her life.
Someone called the police when they noticed a woman slumped in the driver’s seat of a car with smoke coming out of it.
It happened on the morning of April 2 near Sheridan Plaza, near Sheridan Street.
Officers gave the woman Narcan before she was taken directly to the hospital.
“A local citizen flagged them down and informed them that there was a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road,” said Danielly Deandrade of the Hollywood Police Department.
According to Hollywood police, the citizen’s quick thinking helped save the woman’s life.
“We would like to thank the community and our local citizens for reaching out to our officers and letting them know that they saw something that was wrong and asked for their help,” Deandrade said.
Authorities said the woman was taken to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
