PSG: Sergio Rico will take exams with a view to possible resumption of training

The last test before a comeback for Sergio Rico in training at Paris Saint-Germain? This Wednesday, the capital club announced that its goalkeeper was taking “mandatory examinations prior to returning to the club”. Eleven months after his horse riding accident, the Spanish goalkeeper continues to show positive signs, and the latest results regarding his state of form are good.

Sergio Rico is said to have fully recovered from his brain aneurysm contracted after his accident with a horse on May 28 in the south of Spain, following which he spent 26 days in a coma, more than a month in intensive care and nearly three months in the hospital.

“All the doctors told me that I could come back without any problem,” he explained in an interview with DAZN in December 2023. “I feel like my body has returned to what it was before.” This testimony from the Spaniard sends a reassuring message in particular to Parisian supporters, who want to see him evolve for at least a few minutes at the end of the season in order to erase this unfortunate episode.

Still in its medical point, PSG communicates the gradual return of Presnel Kimpembe, who is carrying out individual exercises with the ball this Tuesday.
