PSG-Barcelona: Nazi salutes and monkey imitations, the overwhelming images of Catalan supporters at the Park

Abject acts took place in the stands of the Parc des Princes this Wednesday evening. At the same time as FC Barcelona’s victory against Paris Saint-Germain (2-3), Catalan supporters were filmed insulting Parisian fans as “monkeys”.

In the video, which is now circulating on social networks, a young boy in the Barcelona stand gives the fingers of honor towards the Parisians. He also imitates the monkey and insults them. In front of him, another FC Barcelona fan makes what strongly resembles Nazi salutes.

In terms of security, no incidents have been noted at the Parc des Princes. However, the match took place in a tense context and a special system had been put in place due to the risk of terrorist attack. The government was nevertheless reassuring on Wednesday and indicated that there was no “proven” threat.

However, it is regrettable that the show was polluted by racist gestures. In Spain this happens frequently in stadiums. Vinicius Junior, the Real Madrid winger, is one of the regular targets of opposing supporters, particularly those of FC Barcelona.
