Pesaro Judo Club Celebrates Success with New Black Belts and Coaches

Great satisfaction for the Pesaro Judo Club, which, after the session of graduation and qualification exams by the Fijlkam Regional Committee held at the Cus in Camerino, was enriched with two new 1st Dan black belts, three 3rd Dan and four aspiring coaches. The Judo school led by master Vittorio Lanari, the first dojo founded in the Marche region since 1951, can now count two new black belts, Chiara Girometti and Cristian Onu, who with their dedication have successfully passed the exams. A further satisfaction is that Chiara passed the test having at her side, and it is appropriate to say this about her, her mother, Sonia Mazzolari, who acted as her Uke, or rather the athlete who tries his hand at undergoing the techniques of the examinee. Even the vice president Maurizio Tonelli, former federal judo and Mga personal defense technician (Global self-defence method), successfully challenged himself by successfully taking the exam for the third Dan in front of the commission made up of the masters of both the regional and national federation, to put himself then available as uke for the other two thirds dan, Paolo Ortenzi and Paolo Gramolini, the latter visually impaired, who with great gratification passed the test well. “I started practicing this discipline at the age of 8 – says Paolo Gramolini – and then in 1993 I resumed it as a visually impaired person under the guidance of the historical master Romagnoli assisted by Posillipo, until I took the first degree in 2001 in Perugia and the second dan in 2006 in Ancona with Casali. For me a further and very important result; after the many victories with Invicta ’01 in Fispic 5-a-side football, (where we gained several satisfactions by winning historic championship finals against our cousins from Adriatica Uici Fano ) and my experiences in basketball with Lupo (as the first ever visually impaired person in Italy), I went back to my origins, getting back into the game and returning to train hard on the tatami with Maurizio and the other athletes. I would like to thank you for your attention and the opportunity master Vittorio Lanari, but above all Maurizio Tonelli for his patience and time dedicated to me and Paolo Ortenzi for his in-depth analysis of the kata despite my visual disability”.

Obviously for the historic Dojo in via Gai, directed until a few years ago by the legendary “Zaga” then worthily replaced by maestro Lanari, it is a great and important confirmation because it has always been attentive and sensitive to inclusion, a gym where one puts oneself to the test test with autistic children, visually impaired children or those with other forms of different abilities, thanks to the certifications gradually acquired and the great experience of the technical staff. To conclude with a bang, Paolo Ortenzi once again challenged himself by excellently passing the exam for the qualification of Aspiring Coach, who also worked “overtime” as uke, together with Sonia Mazzolari, Elena Del Romano and Massimiliano Tonelli.
