Peruvian Delegation Shines at Sucre 2024 Bolivarian Youth Games with 52 Medals

The Peruvian delegation that has been participating in the Sucre 2024 Bolivarian Youth Games has won 52 medals so far, 13 gold, another 13 silver and 26 bronze.

The last medal winners were the karatekas Hitoshi López (-61 kg) and María Maldonado (-59 kg), who achieved bronze in the Kumite modality, as did Yleymi Muelle in field tennis.

Also standing out among the medalists to members of the Program of Support to the Sportsman (PAD) of the Peruvian Institute of Sports (IPD), such as Namie Miyahira, Sharum Durand, Fernanda Munar, Jose Maria Rendon of badminton, who achieved 5 gold, 2 of silver and one of bronze.

Likewise, Lukas Eichhorn (Fencing), Rodrigo Vigo and Gonzalo Vera (Table Tennis), who won bronze.

The contest will be until Sunday, April 14 and this Wednesday some sports such as boxing and squash will begin.
